Open Area % = (A / B) x 100

To calculate A, you can use the following formula:

A = (L x W x N x T) / (P x P)

Where:

• L is the length of the mesh.
• W is the width of the mesh.
• N is the number of openings per linear inch.
• T is the wire or strand diameter.
• P is the center-to-center distance between two adjacent wires or strands in the mesh.

To calculate B, you can use the following formula:

B = [(N x T) + P]^2
