Description
2.38mm Hole 430 Stainless Steel Magnetic Wire Mesh
This heavy duty woven wire mesh is manufactured from 430 grade magnetic stainless steel and features 8 holes per linear inch. With 64 holes per square inch and a robust 0.8mm wire thickness, this mesh is designed for strength, structure, and reliability. The square aperture size is 2.38mm, providing a large and open mesh format suitable for tasks where visibility, airflow, and drainage are important.
The mesh has an open area of 56%, making it ideal for ventilation, protective screening, coarse filtration, and general industrial usage. Thanks to its 430 stainless steel construction, it is magnetic and corrosion-resistant in dry indoor environments or light-duty outdoor use. It offers a cost-effective alternative to 304 or 316 grades where full corrosion resistance is not essential.
This mesh can be easily cut with tin snips or heavy-duty kitchen scissors, making it practical to handle and modify for custom shapes or panels. Whether you’re using it in security screening, HVAC systems, separation work, or reinforcement applications, this heavy mesh format provides solid, dependable performance.
The mesh’s combination of strength and openness makes it suitable for both functional and structural projects where durability and magnetic properties are advantageous.

We also offer a massive range of 304 stainless steel perforated metal sheet options from immediate stock. In order to produce stainless steel perforated metal sheet, flat sheet metal is punched with round or square holes. Perforated sheets are commonly often used in applications where the passing of air is required. Because the holes are punched, it is possible to have a far stronger finished metal product than it would be for the equivalent thickness in woven or welded mesh.
