Description
Decorative Metal Sheets
Perforated decorative metal sheets is produced by punching flat plate with a specific round pattern. The customer’s requirement for metal for cosmetic or application purposes drives this decision. Sheets with perforations are commonly used to allow air to pass through. Ventilation and filtration are the main uses for this mesh type. Rodent proofing is another use for perforated sheeting.
Aluminium
Perforated sheet aluminium mesh is a punched sheet plate. Hole rows can be straight or staggered to increase the number of openings. The 1050 H14 grade is at least 99.5% pure aluminium. Suitable for both MIG and TIG welding. We recommend this product to customers for use on classic cars, kit cars, and sports cars. Aluminium 1050 H14 has excellent corrosion resistance, furthermore it is ideal for anodizing or powder coating. Often used in the manufacture of signs and curtain walls. Can also be applied to commercial vehicles, horse boxes, trailers, and caravans.
Galvanised Steel
Made from mild steel that has been hot-dip galvanized for protection against the elements. Coated in zinc to make it more hardwearing, galvanised perforated sheet is perfect for use in outdoor conditions. This EN ISO 1461 protective coat ensures the mild steel is guarded against corrosion, which makes it an ideal component in gates, fences, outdoor furniture, balustrade inserts and shelving.
The perforated galvanised steel sheet has a pattern of round holes that can be varied based on metal thickness, hole size, and pitch (distance between holes). Perforated steel sheet is commonly used by architects and designers as they are able to play with light, sound, and visual depth using the patterned sheet. It is important to note that ‘Galvanised Steel’ and ‘Galvanized Steel’ refer to the same finish.
Mild Steel
Mild plain steel does not have any coating layers, consequently it is easy for it to show signs of rust and corrosion. Rust is especially likely when used in damp environments. If your perforated steel does show signs of rust, then you should employ WD40 or buff it out with a sander.
Welding and painting is easy with mild steel. This plain steel is also magnetic.
Stainless Steel
304 stainless steel alloy is the industry standard form of ferrous metals because it has excellent mechanical properties and equally importantly it provides great resistance to various corrosive agents. This grade of stainless steel is austenitic. This means that when it is cool the iron element remains in the form of austenite (gamma iron). This is a phase of iron that is nonmagnetic.
Above all, 304 grade stainless steel is long lasting in almost all environments. For instance, this mesh would last for upwards of 20 years if used for standard internal applications.
